|
| The Apple Camping &
Caravan Park is located in County Tipperary, in Southern
Ireland. Our site has received numerous accolades over
the years, including more recently the best three star
park in Ireland, as voted by visitors to parks all over
the country.
It is a small family-run site, catering for up to about
sixty people per night, though during May and September,
the number of visitors is usually much less. While we
do not cater for large numbers of people, the campsite
itself is very spacious. That is because it is situated
on a fruit-farm and orchard, and we felt that it was
worthwhile to give people extra space for camping on,
rather than growing a few extra apples.
You will find that as well as being very well managed,
our site offers the best of facilities. You will note
that our electricity connections are rated to 15 amperes.
You will also find that no matter where you are on the
park, located nearby will be an electrical connection
and water supply. You will also find that we do not
charge extra for most of what we offer, so for instance,
use of the newly-laid full-size tennis court is included
in the price, as are hot showers (for as long as you
like), hot water, campers kitchen (with freezer and
fridge) and use of the hardstands.
It’s not only our visitors that we are committed
to however, and you will find some serious steps have
been taken to safeguard the environment also. Almost
all the hot water for your showers, washing etc. is
heated by a solar array. We have a re-cycling point
for cans (aluminum and tin), glass and paper, and will
provide one for plastics as soon as this is possible.
And, of course, we have the site (and farm) nicely landscaped
with trees and plants of various sizes and species.
The final element to our success is to offer not just
a comprehensive range of well-managed facilities, but
to offer all this at a reasonable price. So you will
see that our pricing is simple, with just a per-person
charge (plus electricity if you want a connection).
