Touring Our small touring area offers grass and hardstanding pitches for Tents tourers and motorhomes. Well behaved pets are welcome. Riverside is an exellent central base for exploring the Borders region with great Borders pubs and resturants to suit most tastes.
To secure a pitch we recommend you telephone 01450 373785 well in advance to check availability & avoid disappointment.
Hire
Modern caravans fully equipped and with central heating and double glazing are available for short breaks or weekly hire. Again free fishing for our own river banks of the teviot and 50% reduced green fees for golfers on our sister parks own course are offered to you walking,horse riding and archery are also available close by.

This site is right next to the river and the cliff, therefore is long and thin with an unusual layout. The facilities were clean and tidy, toilets and showers, laundry, washup facilities and chemical disposal.The road to the football club runs through the site and I have to say we didn't observe much of the 5mph speed limit being adhered to. This might be an issue if you have children and are pitched next to the road. Jedburgh is a short walk away with good shopping, restuarants and fish and chips. Visits to Jedburgh Abbey, the Cheviot Hills or the last part of the Pennine Way are all handy. Or maybe the Whisky Shop across the road if its raining. Jedburgh

The banks of the River Jed provide a perfect setting for this peaceful country Caravan Park, 4 miles south of Jedburgh, off the A68. Nestling in its own beautiful wooded ravine, a perfect sun trap and sheltered from wind, Jedwater Park is owned by Maureen and Neil Gibson. Holidaymakers can always be sure of a warm and friendly welcome at both the Caravan Park and the family farm, where you could meet our Shetland ponies. Come at the right time and you might see some new born lambs.The Caravan Park stretches over ten grassy acres with spacious pitches. A well-stocked grocery shop provides everything you need from frozen foods to sweets and Camping Gas. If you fancy a 'nightcap', it doubles as your on-site off-licence. A cafe is next to the Park and a Hotel is in walking distance where all will be made welcome. TOURING SITE

The touring and camping park has been established at Thirlestane for over twenty years and has an enviable reputation as a quiet, friendly and welcoming site. It’s the perfect place to spend some time whether you are passing through, exploring the Borders or need a base to visit Edinburgh from.

The Park is open from the 1st April 07 to 30th September 07.
It can accommodate:
• 50 touring vans / camper vans and 10 tents.
• All touring pitches have electric hook ups.
• The park has a modern toilet and washing facility together with washing machine should you need to take care of some laundry.

The prices below are for two people; extra persons are charged at £3.50 per night each.

Rosetta Caravan and Camping Park is a beautifully matured park set in the picturesque town of Peebles. The park is based in 47 acres of grounds surrounding a late Georgian mansion and stable block.We have endeavoured at Rosetta to make the park as beautiful today as it was back in the early 18 hundreds when the house was constructed.The park is very spacious with plenty of room for children to play, or adults to just sit and relax. Owned and run by Margaret and Peter Dubickas and their family for the last 7 years. Lothianbridge is a picturesque caravan park for tourers situated on the A7 near the historic village of Newtongrange in Midlothian. It is an ideally situated park with easy access to Edinburgh which is 7 miles to the centre and for touring Scotland's lowland and border towns. Onsite there is a modern toilet block with showers, baby changing, and disabled facilities plus a laundry room. The pitches (some hard standing) are all of a good size giving you plenty of space, fitted with electrical points. Adjacent to the site stands a hotel serving good food and catering for the family. 4 acre site under viaduct. On A7 4 miles from city bypass.Take A7 from Sheriffhall Roundabout on Edinburgh bypass. Has chemical waste disposal point. Does not accept double axel caravans.

Slatebarns Caravan Park is situated in a sheltered, peaceful country setting, 3 minutes walk from Roslin village. Set in the woods of Roslin Glen on the doorstep of the famous 15th Century Rosslyn Chapel, there are woodland walks, golf courses, hill walking, swimming and a lesiure centre all within a short distance of the caravan park. You can also squeeze in some pre-season practice at the artificial ski slope 4 miles away.

Slatebarns is a family owned and operated caravan site with 30 pitches and a seperate small CL. The site is affiliated with The Caravan Club and Robin and Moyra Crawford maintain the same high standard that Club members have come to expect.

This site makes an ideal base for visitors to the Edinburgh and Midlothian area as it is a short distance from the city bypass and only 6 miles from Edinburgh City Centre.

With a regular bus service into and around Edinburgh, the stresses of city parking and driving can be easily avioded. Up to date details of bus times and routes can be found in the reception on site.

This is an attractive site with several pitching areas separated by sandy dunes, shrubs & roses - a splendid choice for family holidays with acres of flat golden sands and rock pools nearby. Nature lovers will enjoy the birds and wildlife around the dunes. The Millennium Commission funded Scottish Seabird Centre at North Berwick uses remote controlled cameras to view Scotland's seabirds in secret, as well as a spectacular Gannet Experience, sound and light show. Its promontory harbour location also affords exceptional views of the Bass Rock and other islands. Described as 'Edinburgh's Playground', East Lothian combines proximity to 'Auld Reekie' with charming villages of pantiled cottages and a coastline of sandy bays and rocky headlands. Sports include water-skiing, sailing, windsurfing (no hire facilities) and no less than 19 golf courses!

Linwater Cravan Park is a peaceful, family run Park for touring caravans, motorhomes and tents, situated on open farmland just west of Edinburgh. You can enjoy all the delights of Scotland's capital city and then head west to the peace and quiet of the countryside. This is even easier now, with two new Park and Rides open nearby. One at Hermiston on the A71, and the quickest and most direct, at Ingliston, beside Edinburgh Airport on the A8. Parking is both safe and free, and a daily ticket can be bought, enabling you to travel in and out, as well as full use of the "Lothian" buses around Edinburgh all day.

We are ideally situated for visiting Edinburgh, the Royal Highland Showground, home of the famous Royal Highland Show in June and many other shows and exhibitions, the Falkirk Wheel, and the new Edinburgh International Climbing Arena is just 1 mile away with the "only indoor covered climbs on natural rock in the world."

Crofthead is one of Ayrshire's premier, four star parks offering a relaxing and peaceful ambience, surrounded by beautiful rural Ayrshire though only a mere two miles from Ayr town centre.The McCormack family ensure that 'family values' and a 'traditional caravanning' atmosphere are retained despite the remarkable upgrading the park has seen since they bought it in 2001.Indeed, 2006 has been extremely busy as an 8 acre holiday development has just been completed for holiday caravans for private use.An extensive range of new and pre-owned holiday homes are available to view and finance is available on request.
All hire vans are 'top of the range' and "Thistle Awarded". Each holiday home is superbly equipped and along with one log cabin, they are all centrally heated and double glazed.
All touring pitches are fully serviced and all are hard standing.2006 saw a major refurbishment of the toilet blocks. There is a well serviced laundry and shop which is open seven days.
The recreation hall has been extensively refurbished in 2005 offering pool tables, Air hockey and many other games.

The Bracken bar is open all year round. You can relax and have a quiet drink in the Lounge Bar or families can enjoy a game of pool or play the quiz machine in the large function bar.Entertainment is provided during the Scottish School summer holidays and bank holiday weekends and every other Saturday out with the holidays. The entertainment ranges from discos, family quiz nights, bingo, kids parties and live acts. We have something to suit all ages.
