| We have three self-catering caravans on our land on the island of Burray, which has the advantage of being connected to the Orkney Mainland by the Churchill Causeways making it easy to see all the places of interest. Why not book a winter holiday? we make sure there are plenty of heaters and electric blankets to keep the caravans lovely and warm.During Spring and Autumn come well prepared for weather changes as you may experience the four seasons in one day, wrap up really well and enjoy the fresh air! There are water sports, fishing and pony trekking near to the caravans and views of the Pentland Firth, Copensay and Echna Loch. There are some lovely sandy beaches, fossil museum/cafe, hotel, shop/post office & shop with petrol pumps all within walking distance. St Margaret's Hope which is a short drive away has a very popular new golf course, bowling green, tennis court and a fitness suite at the Community School.Kirkwall is 10 miles away where you can go to the swimming pool, library and a cinema.Sites of historical interest include St Magnus Cathedral; Bishop's & Earl's Palaces and Tankerness House Museum. |
