The site is on the fringe of the village of Braemar, 1100 feet above sea level, and the eastern gateway to the Cairngorms, an ideal centre for walkers and mountain bikers (mountain bikes can be hired locally). Herds of red deer roam freely and you may also glimpse capercaillie, red squirrels and badgers, golden eagles and herons. Braemar is the scene of the annual Highland Gathering, usually attended by members of the Royal Family and held on the first Saturday in September. The site opens in December for the Winter Sports season, is purpose-built for family skiers, and is close to Glenshee (9 miles) with its snow cannons. For some spectacular scenery, take the high road to Tomintoul for a view of the countryside towards the rugged coastline and sea beyond.

At Lower Deeside we have over 45 level, spacious touring pitches with electric hook-ups. The pitches are spread across well landscaped surroundings on both grass and gravel.The "super" pitches include hook-up points as well as individual drain and water points. Not forgetting our campers, tent pitches are well placed and picnic tables are provided when available.A very clean and spacious toilet block includes free showers. There is also a launderette with ironing and both indoor and outdoor drying facilities.Situated in the centre of the park is a games/TV and snooker room with a safe well-equipped children's play area close by.A hotel with restaurant and lounge bar is adjacent to the park. The fenced off duck pond, with it's dovecote and doves, has a variety of breeds making their home there. Look out for the resident woodpecker.

Tarland by Deeside has been favoured by royalty for many years. Queen Victoria chose the area for her home at Balmoral in the 1850s and it is still a favourite with our Royal family today. Our Club Site shares the same spectacular scenery. Tarland village is a five-minute walk from Site. It has local shops, a bowling green and a golf course. It is a good starting point for walks, with lovely open views towards Mount Keen, Lochnagar and Morven.Aberdeen – the Granite City – is to the east. It has fine buildings, good shops, theatres, galleries and museums. A bus from the village goes to the city centre.Aboyne, six miles from Site, has shops and a swimming pool. The theatre is central to the Aboyne and Deeside Festival in July. The local Highland Games are held in August.Glen Tanar and Muir of Dinnet are two superb local nature reserves. The fairytale Craigievar Castle is pinkish in colour and on Scotland’s Castle Trail.The Grampian Transport Museum at Alford traces the history of travel in the Grampian District. It includes a 1914 steam wagon.There are many routes for walkers and cyclists. Wonderful panoramic views of the islands of Islay and Jura are enjoyed from every caravan. Port Ban is a peaceful haven for those who want to get away from it all. The sheer beauty of the area and the rich diversity of wildflowers and wildlife never ceases to amaze both our new and regular visitors alike. The park has half a mile of completely unspoilt coastline with quiet sandy beaches. Our peaceful Club Site at Ardgartan overlooks the glorious Loch Long – from which the Viking invaders dragged their galleys in the 13th century. Today you may spot deer or porpoises from your pitch.The Forestry Commission’s first Forest Park – Argyll Forest Park – surrounds this Club Site. The Visitor Centre introduces the area. Several beautiful walks lead away from the Club Site. Inverary has a fairytale castle which hosts a Highland Games in July. Auchindrain Township Open Air Museum gives a glimpse of Highland life in Victorian times. Anglers can catch sea-trout and mackerel from Loch Long. The area is a paradise for serious walkers. The Arrochar Alps include several peaks. The Cobbler – or Ben Arthur – is one of Scotland’s most spectacular with an unusual skyline and fabulous views. The West Highland Line is one of the world’s most memorable rail trips. Trains stop at Arrochar and Tarbet station. Glencoe, Fort William, Oban, Dunoon, Stirling and the Trossachs, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Luss and Helensburgh are all within easy reach by car. The village of Luss has a lovely church – recently refurbished – and slate workers’ cottages. It is often used for TV and film making. Inverbeg is to the north. It has a Fine Art Gallery. Cruise from Luss, Tarbert or Balloch to see Loch Lomond from the water. A footpath and cycleway go from Firkin Point round the Loch. It is suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs. There are fine views across the Loch, a picnic area and an oak woodland. The Denny Ship Model Experiment Tank is still used for ship testing. The Victorian tank is in Dumbarton. The site has a modern, well-maintained toilet and shower block which includes facilities for the disabled.

The area around the site is home to a wide variety of wildlife, with seals, otters and even dolphins to be seen.

The area is also one of natural beauty, with magnificent sunsets over Gigha, Islay and Jura. These islands can be easily reached on a day’s visit from the site.

Gallanachmore Farm near Oban, where you can stay at a well equipped caravan and camping site, offers the best of both worlds.

Gallanachmore covers 340 acres set by the sea with magnificent views to the Island of Kerrera. The site offers all the charm and tranquillity of a truly rural setting - guests may feel they are a million miles away from the bustle of modern life, but just two and a half miles down the road is the delightful centre of Oban with its shops, restaurants and many other twenty first century facilities.Farm Fun - Children are well catered for at Gallanachmore. There are swings on the site, but of greatest interest to the youngsters is usually the duck pond - adults are warned that the ducks may call at your caravan asking for a snack!
FACILITIES

SHOP
There is an on-site shop in the reception building. It is well stocked, with general groceries, bread, milk, newspapers, toys and off-license goods.
The shop opens for the season at the end of May (Springbank holiday) and closes in September.
Opening hours may vary, but are usually 9am to 11am and 4pm to 8pm 7 days a week.

DOG WALK
Dogs are welcome, but we ask that they are kept on the lead whilst on the park. A large wooded hillside next to the touring and tent fields has been set aside as a nature walk and dog exercise area. Your pets are free to run off the lead in this area.

GAMES ROOM
A games room with video games, a television and a pool table is available for the use of well-behaved children and adults. Children's swings are available for the younger ones.

CAMPERS KITCHEN
A gas stove for cooking on, a freezer to store ice-packs, and shelter.

LAUNDRY
Washing machine and Tumble dryer are available for residents.

SHOWER BLOCKS
There are 3 toilet/shower blocks. There is no charge for the use of showers. Outside each toilet block is a dishwash area and drinking water supplies. There is a bin area outside each block also.

THERE IS NO BAR / CLUBHOUSE OR RESTRAUNT ONSITE

ROSEVIEW CARAVAN PARK (formerly Oban Divers) can offer a quiet family setting in Glenshellach, a peaceful and scenic location only 2 miles from Oban Town Centre.

Rated 4 star by Visit Scotland, the site offers toilet and shower block, dishwashing, laundry and drying room. Also on site is a barbecue area with an indoor eating area for campers. A small playpark is also on site for the younger visitors.

There is no bar or entertainment on site which ensures the quiet atmoshpere of the site.

Touring Pitches

All of our 54 touring pitches have individual hard standings and 16 amp (blue) electrical hook-ups, most have an individual water tap and waste water drain. There is space to park one car alongside your pitch and there is more parking available on the main car park.

For those seeking even more comfort we also we have 'Patio Pitches'. Each has its own private lockable summerhouse (fitted with a 13amp socket), a picnic table and four chairs. Some of these pitches are individually screened on three sides by ornamental bushes or trees.
