Low Wray Campsite is owned and run by The National Trust but 4 Winds Lakeland Tipis has a designated area for our family tipi village. The site has lake frontage for use of dinghies and canoes, views over the lake and is a haven for flora and fauna. Throughout the calendar the site offers the prospect of experiencing plant and animal life in profusion.Watch the sun rise over England's largest lake and enjoy the magnificent views across the water to Wansfell Pike and The Fairfield Horseshoe.Situated on the western shore of Windermere, Low Wray is the perfect base for a whole range of outdoor activities. There are opportunities for gentle walks and great off-road biking from the campsite. The quiet country lanes will also prove attractive to cycle tourers. Low Wray is an ideal base for lovers of watersports including windsurfers, canoeists and dinghy sailors, with on-site access for launching. Low Wray is an excellent base for fishing. All anglers require a rod license available at Post Offices and Tourist Information Centres. You may fish on Windermere from the grounds of the campsite or launch your own boat.
