Available at Forest View is a 3 bedroom gîte for hire (sleeping six people). The gîte accommodation comprises of 3 bedrooms, 2 are on the ground floor. There is an open plan kitchen/dining room, lounge, a down stairs bathroom (2 steps). Plus in 2008 we have added another toilet & shower. On arrival to the gîte we offer a complimentary bottle of wine, large baguette, croissants, jams, butter, tea, coffee and milk. Once a working farmstead, the grounds have been re-designed with individually marked pitches, hedges, apple trees and borders overlooking lush green fields. The farmhouse, which has been tastefully renovated, retains its country charm with 4 elegantly decorated en-suite rooms (with tea and coffee making facilities) providing comfortable accomodation and pleasant views. Breakfast is continental buffet style, including fresh croissants, locally baked bread and home-made preserves. We have a quaint bar familiarly known as "Le Snug". To the North of "le Puits" are the D-day Landing Beaches and Bayeux with its famous tapestry. To the South is the historic and pretty village of Domfront, within Normandy's large regional park. To the East in Suisse Normand (little Switzerland) is Clécy with a miniature railway and the River Orne for canoeing and fishing. To the West lies the breathtaking Le Mont St Michel and the beaches along the Cotentin shoreline. Within the village, there is a Museum dedicated to the liberation of the Bocage Region and for the more adventurous - nearby Bungy Jumping. A warm and friendly welcoming awaits you at "le Puits" and we will endeavour to make your stay as enjoyable and memorable as possible.
